John Pfahl’s work on power plants in the environment dates from the early 1980s. The images are on one level beautiful landscapes—except for the power plant (or similar electricity infrastructure) in the picture. Pfahl never signaled whether he was criticizing the power systems or demonstrating how they can co-exist harmoniously with nature.
